Hunting - Ibex Hunting

Turkey's Mediterranean shores are among the loveliest landscapes in the country. The magnificent coastline, lapped by the clear water of the Mediterranean Sea, abounds in vast and pristine beaches surronded by banana, orange and lemon groves, rocky crags and pine woods. Ibex hunts are fun and experience at mountains of Mediterranean region. Dotted with popular holiday villages and the remains of ancient civilizations attestinf to the inheritance of more than 5.000 year of history, culture and mythology, this region offers a holiday with something for everyone like hunters, nature lovers, sports enthusiasts, and archaeologists.
As the hunting symbol of Turkey, Bezoar Ibex live in the high grounds of the Taurus Mountains between 1000 - 2500 meters from the sea level. Natural structure of Taurus Mountains is rocky and it is cool. The weight of Bezoar Ibex is around 80 kg. It is known that Bezoar Ibex live nearly 15 years and the average trophy size is between 100 -130 centimeters. Also it is very possible to have trophies up to 145 cm.
The areas are in the South and East of Turkey, where the very beautiful sides and historic sites of Turkey can also be seen. Accommodation in hunting camps, villagers homes or hotels in hunting area. 7 nights accommodation and 5 days hunting. The area is covered with pine and oak forests and the terrain is rocky. Suitable caliber’s are 6.5 x 68 S, 7 mm Mag.,30.06, 270 and 300 Mag. The climate is warm till the end of October. After November it can be cold and rainy, so woolen clothing and rainwear’s are advisable. Hunting dates are between 1st of August – 31st of March. Best time is between 01st of October - 25th of December.
